Kingsmount has an established training plan and has acheived recognition as "Investors in People" - a government sponsored, independently assessed initiative somewhat akin to a kite-mark for staff development.

The staff at Kingsmount are at varying levels in their learning. All of the care staff are now enrolled on an NVQ in Care. Those who are new recruits receive induction training following a successful interview and following a three month probationary period are signed up to commence their NVQ training in care. All new staff are supervised by seniors when carrying out personal care to residents.
