All care Homes are required by law to comply with the National Minimum Standards established under Care Standards Act 2000. The act established the NCSC, later re-named CSCI and soon to be re-named again and came into force on 1st April, 2002 and the regulations are regularly amended. Kingsmount complies with the latest (2004) amendments.

There are 38 National Minimum Standards which require large amounts of information to be made available to "Service Users". Whilst we do not wish to subject our patients or their relatives to information overload, we are obliged to offer this in the form of a "Service Users Guide" and a legally defined "Brochure". The brochure we will provide you with is therefore only the cover to this and is not the complete brochure until it encloses all the information required in the "Statement of Purpose". This takes the form of a number of inserts - or the contents of this web-site.
